Information stored by the app
SideAce can store business profile details, client and project records, contact notes, proposals, time entries, invoices and payments, expenses, receipt images, mileage, tax settings and estimates, business goals, calendar notes, and a custom logo. This information may be commercially sensitive or contain personal information entered by you.
What the app does not send us
The current app does not transmit its local business database to the publisher. It has no SideAce cloud account, publisher-operated backend, bank feed, payment processor, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or cloud-sync service. Local processing and exports you initiate are not publisher collection.
Device capabilities
- Camera or photo-library access is used only when you choose a receipt image or custom logo.
- App Lock invokes the operating system’s authentication interface; SideAce does not receive biometric templates.
- File dialogs are used when you import or export files.
Exports and backups
You can create PDFs, CSV exports, and password-protected authenticated encrypted backups. Exported files are stored where you or the operating system selects and are no longer protected by SideAce’s app-level controls. You control how those files are stored, transmitted, and deleted. The publisher cannot recover a forgotten backup password.
Website delivery and tracking
The SideAce website code does not use advertising, audience analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or browser storage for audience measurement. Cloudflare delivers and protects the website and may process IP addresses, request headers, device and network information, security events, and strictly necessary security cookies under its own terms. The website uses a same-origin referrer policy for its own checkout flow and explicitly suppresses referrers on external store and support links, so those destinations do not receive the SideAce page you visited.
Direct Mac checkout and download
You select USD or CAD before leaving this website. Stripe hosts and processes the direct Mac checkout and may collect billing, payment, tax, fraud-prevention, and transaction information under its own terms. The publisher can access the transaction and contact information made available by Stripe for fulfillment, support, refunds, abuse prevention, and legal obligations, but this website does not receive or store full payment-card details.
After payment, Stripe returns a transaction session identifier so the Worker can re-verify the exact paid product, currency, and price. The identifier is moved out of the address bar into a strictly necessary, secure, HTTP-only, same-site cookie that expires after one hour. It is used only to verify the purchase and authorize the private installer download. Checkout and download responses are marked private and non-cacheable. The private fulfillment record contains the Stripe session identifier, payment status, Stripe event identifier, and verification time—not card details or app records.
External stores
Microsoft processes Windows purchases made through the Microsoft Store. Apple processes Mac purchases made through the Mac App Store. Those providers control their store account, purchase, tax, fraud, receipt, and retention practices. Their privacy terms apply after you leave this website.
Retention and deletion
App records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, clear application data, or uninstall the app, subject to operating-system backup and retention behaviour. Exports and backups must be deleted separately. The direct-download cookie expires after one hour. We retain minimal purchase evidence and support or security correspondence only as needed for fulfillment, support, refunds, abuse prevention, appropriate business records, and legal obligations. Cloudflare, Stripe, Microsoft, Apple, and email providers apply their own retention schedules.
Rights and contact
To ask about information held by the publisher or exercise an applicable privacy right, email support@adeptuslabs.xyz with “SideAce privacy request” in the subject. Do not include backup passwords, full backups, payment-card details, or customer records. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. You may also have the right to contact your local privacy regulator.
Children
SideAce is a business tool for independent professionals and is not directed to children. The app does not transmit an app database to a publisher-operated service.
Changes
Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. This notice will be reviewed if telemetry, licensing, support uploads, payments, sync, or another network service is added.
